Who needs new canvas from Ameritex?

Piggybacking somewhat on @davidbrooks thread - there are a few of us who want new canvas from Ameritex. I wonder if we get together and submit a “bulk” order if we can get Ameritex to put us in the queue for delivery before spring? It would essentially be one order if we use Darren @coverguy2 as our conduit.

    I am on a group called Lippert Captain’s. Lippert owns TaylorMade who we all know owns Ameritex. I am trying to get some better information from Lippert on when Ameritex might be able to make canvas again for our boats. I am going to suggest the bulk order. I will report back when I hear something.

    I will need coves all around for a 360 Hardtop I was looking at RNR Marina is this the same company. RNR advertises that they can make factory covers for Rinker's.

    RNR is a reseller of Ameritex.

    Hi Pat310, checked it out that web site. Did not know they were out of business. I would like to in on the purchase for covers from Ameritex. Please keep me in the loop. I can order anytime would like to have for next year

    CableGuy Greg I am interested; been waiting for Ameritech to come back online for consumer orders for a year now. Boat is 2013  Rinker 290ec.  Need the 5 pieces attaching windshield to arch. Color Navy Blue.

    I sent an email to the contact that I got through Lippert. I will let everyone know what comes of it when I hear back.

    That's great - I'm in too! I have a 2003 Rinker Captiva 232 Cuddy. 24 ft, w/8.6 ft beam.
     I already have the Bimini Top. Navy color.
    I need: Front (clear) Connector, Side curtains (2), Camper top, Camper Side Curtains (2), Camper Aft Curtain. in Navy. Thanks

    I broke down and had a local place replace just the window sections of my rear cover 2 months ago, and the zipper for the screen window.  I would be "in" for at least one side curtain which has yellowed and hardened!

    Just an update on my end. I had a little back and forth conversation with the contact at Lippert a few weeks ago, but recently he has ghosted me. Don’t get your hopes up. I will still try.

    @Cableguy Greg Sorry to hear this.  I have placed 6 different calls with Canvas/Upholstery companies, Mechanics and outdrive repair firms to only have one return a call.  It is frustrating.  Tell me you cant help me, tell me you are too busy with existing work and cant do it for months, tell me you cant get materials but just don't ignore me.  Grrr.

    Seriously what's the deal with Ameritex?  Did they lose all of their employees?  The pandemic is over.

    Who knows… From my sources they are behind on their orders from all of the COVID boats that were sold over the last 2 1/2 years. Very frustrating!! I wonder if Kim Slocum has a connection to get a few made? Maybe I should reach out to him.
