Headliner material

The forward hatch was leaking for long before I got the boat it was all rotted I’m lucky the core is only soft maybe 3 or 4 inches I’ll dry it out and shoot some penetrating epoxy in it ,anyone know where I can find the headliner material to match what’s there ?

    @GMSLITHO , double check but this might be the correct material. It’s from Great Lakes Skipper.

    When I removed the hatch there was no caulking just what they call a gasket like foam rubber I think I’ll run a bead of caulk around the hatch when I replace it

    Yea, I would definitely seal them when you install.

    @GMSLITHO - curious how you will shoot epoxy in?  From topside or below?  Is it delaminated on the top?  I might have a similar situation and thought I would dig out the rotted balso core from below.

    It’s only around the hatch forward about 3 to 4 inches I’m thinking with a syringe from below

    Oh okay.  I was looking at all the dark areas.  I thought dark kind of meant no good

    Turns out it wasn't the hatch leaking it was the screws on the windshield and the cabin top from the windshield down to the hatch was soft since it was covered it had a chance to dry out I drilled some holes from the top and used one of those big turkey marinate needles and filled is with west system 105 it worked great I cut new wood took it down to work and replaced the material on the headliner ,the problem is when I got it home the color that I ordered wasn't the same as the material in the boat ,its white not the oyster so Ill see how far I get Ill probably just install it and then replace it next year ,I still have a lot of work to do and its June already

    Matching the headliner is a real challenge due to fading.

    when I ordered from Great lakes I didn't know they used 2 colors I should have ordered the oyster and I got the white ......next years project

    leaks are not fun...I have one in the headliner at the mid ship...I think it is from a speaker on the port side....still not sure and have spent hours sealing crap everywhere! I pulled the headliner out, I think the vinyl is OK, so will replace the wood when I confirm the leak..one day....

    well it’s in along with the new floor cut new wood for around the hatch and installed that
