Where are we all getting carpets these days?

Bought new carpets back in July of 2017...from snapincarpet.com

Well, now they are falling apart on the back, getting black stuff all over the place. The actual carpet is fine but can't have that mess all over the place. Went back to the same website, looking up prices, they want 800+50 bucks for basically the same thing, or the cool new vinyl weave costs 1300 + 50 shipping.

Anyone have a better source for boat carpets?

They make a compound you can paint over the black backing to give it a few more years.  It is about $20 a qt and actually works pretty well.

You willing to cut it to fit or you want premade?

I did the fiber-loc march of 2020. So far still using them.  Flip them over and use a beater bar vac to remove the loose backing first.  Only problem I have with it is if water gets under it, from say rain, it can get a bit slimy. I fold carpet back where water gets past cockpit cover at the base of arch when I leave, so not a problem for me.
