Worms?

So I had my boat at a friends house for a couple of months. When boat was pulled everything was relatively clean. Had it dropped in at the Marina and when I finally got a rack.(3 weeks) These white looking things were covering the Drive , Transducer and underwater Led,s. This is after acid and scrapping. More to do, but what the heck are they and how do I keep them away. The hull did not have them.

Thanks
Mike

You could try an outdrive anti-fouling paint such as Interlux Trilux.  Whatever you get, be sure it's made for aluminum outdrives.

We get that type of growth here also.

It looks like you might have the wrong washers under the nuts, I’ve never seen them rust before.

I Thought so. The folks that worked on my drive were less than reliable. I am lucky it runs at all. I just purchased a batch of stainless nuts and washers and will replace.

    Thanks

@aero3113 , They say its the little things. So I bought the kit of correct nuts and washers. The bunch that worked on my drive used steel . not stainless. Only 1 was a nyloc and none were torqued correctly. 1 had started to back itself out. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd guess that's an indicator of how the rest of the boat was kept.  Better start checking everything!
