What are you guys paying/who do you recommend?  @kordo @Grahamu ?

I'm with RSA right now and just got my renewal for the 350.  $995 for $140k insured value and $2m liability.  $1400 deductible on the hull/motors and $200 deductible on electronics and my dinghy/motor.

Thanks

    I use Gore Mutual Marine
    $1050
    $2M liability
    Includes C-Tow type coverage

Also MD Marine has good quotes. From Orillia. Seen them at a lot of Ont boat shows.

Think my replacement value is way off the marks now with the increase in used boat prices.

Will try them, thanks @mattie !

The broker wants a survey to justify an increase in the value. Pain in the a$$.

I may get a quote from MD tomorrow as well.

Looks like they only need surveys for 20 yrs +

It is crazy with the inflated boat prices. If you actually had a total loss - be difficult to replace at original stated values on policies.

I guess the total loss calculation is just a factor X per $1000 value. Whatever you are comfortable paying. Pick your weapon......$100K, $150K, $200K

That’s exactly my concern. I could not replace my boat for $140k when the same boat a year newer with 4x the hours is going for $190k.

My renewal  is in August and I will take a look at the boat's value then. My feelings are that prices will start to drop due travel restrictions being lifted and gas prices thru the roof.
