Anode wear & replacement

Was surprised to see how much wear on the anodes this Spring.  If I had known they looked like this, I would have planned on replacing.  However, considering it's recommended to replace when 50% worn away, this is actually still 79% weight of original which I put on 3 years ago. I do plan to replace next Spring.  Thought some might be interested in this photo for reference.

    Is that the outdrive trim shaft anode? I have gone down a whole path of corrosion prevention to the point I have the multimeter out and testing all bindings, stray current, anode resistance........... Opens a big can of worms.

    Looks like prop anode.

    I do mine every second year irrespective, I could get another year or more but for $45 a side, why gamble.

    I wish mine were that cheap! When I bought my magnesium kits in 2021 they were $100/each, plus the trim tab at $25/each -- I'm in it for $250+ for each change out. So I do it every 2-3 years or based on visual inspection.

    I do mine at the beginning of the spring and again in the middle of the summer.
