DC Negative Terminal

Does anyone know where the dc negative terminal is for the helm. While running my radar antenna, if I hit my trim tabs up buttons it goes into low voltage and shuts of the antenna. No issues while running either one by themselves. I am thinking loose or corroded negative. It's a 2002 342 FV.

    Did you check the negative block on the transom in the engine room?

    I just replaced that. Cleaned every wire going to it.

    I haven't seen one at the helm. I will be taking out my switch panel next Friday I will look again.

    @raybo3 do other helm systems work ok when you have the low voltage problem. You might want to check power at the fuse panel, below the steering wheel on mine

    Everything works great independently. It only happens when radar scanner is on and I hit the trim tabs up. I will check those breakers later this week

    From the attached schematic it does not show a negative terminal block at the helm but negative wires splicing into a larger gauge cable going thru connectors 4 and 8 to the ground block in the engine room. I would suspect it's a positive supply problem.

    I posted some pics when I removed the helm to redo the fiberglass. All wired were spliced into larger ones to the wiring harness. There is one clip that completely disconnects the wiring harness from the rest of the boat.
