Fuel Regulator on Fuel Rail

Has anyone replaced the fuel regulator on the fuel rail as preventative maintenance? Does it have a screen on it like the regulator on the cool fuel module? Is it something that should be checked?

    I can't say I've ever messed with it.  It would take a lot to get thru the filters cool fuel module.

    Is there anything that does not have to be replaced? Just have not lived long enough yet to deal with it!

    I randomly came across a thread that discussed this exact thing just recently, may have been on the hull truth. There is a screen in there I have had mine off on my Volvo but I think it is just a return for instances when pressure exceeds what is required. Not hard to remove and check.
