Galvanic Isolator and AC Grounds

I am removing the starboard shore power inlets and replacing with an inverter circuit. 

The galvanic isolator as originally installed is wired as follows:

BOAT GROUND
Starboard shore power inlet grounds (??)
Generator ground (ok)
Panel ground bus bar (ok)

SHORE POWER GROUND
Port shore power inlet grounds (ok)

I don’t understand why the starboard shore power grounds were wired into the boat side of the galvanic isolator.

    A galvanic isolator is used to isolate the boat from shorepower ground and other boats. Don't understand why your genset is isolated.

    The genny wasn’t isolated. The starboard shorepower were.

    That's got to be a mistake. The port and starboard inlets should be together. If it were wired the way it was, the isolator would only work if you used the port inlet.

    All shorepower grounds should be connected to one side of the isolator and the other side connected to ship grounds,

    @YYZRC are sure there is not a second isolator near the other shore power inlet?

    Only one isolator. 

    This was meant as more of a PSA. For sure it was wired wrong from the factory.
