Standard Horizon GX1850 - Anyone Have One?

I've been trying to find a radio that will mount in the shallow area of the gunwale next to the helm seat and this unit will fit.

Any reviews?

    Just installed a gx2000.  Happy with it.  SH are solid radio's.  Yaesu is the parent company and big in ham equipment.

    I had a great experience with SH getting parts for my old VHF. Definitely want to stick with the brand.

    I had a GX1800 in our last boat and it worked well. I did have an issue with a row or two of lines disappearing but sent it back and a week or so later they returned it fixed no problems
