Reposition Holding Tank Sensor

Has anyone repositioned their holding tank sensors.  Mine are positioned too low.  The lowest one is all the way at the bottom of the tank so it always shows 1/3 full.  I'm wondering if I can peel it off (maybe with the use of a hair dryer) without damaging it.  I'd rather live with it the way it is rather than the whole system quit working.

Too bad that they positioned that sensor so low. A hair dryer might work. I think @YYZRC has worked with theses sensors before.

Yep I did remove them. Just popped them off with a flat head screwdriver. Reinstalled with 3M 4000 and all good.

What brand is the sensor? My tanks don’t have any and it would be a nice add.

Waste of money IMO. I am in my bilge at least once per week checking fluids etc and a visual is sufficient.

Thanks YYZRC....  I'll give it a shot.  Touchsensor is the brand.  I get some hits on Winnebago when searching but haven't much time finding them for sale.

I put one in my last boat and it was great. Especially if you have smaller tanks, don’t open the hatch often or don’t have visibility to the tanks. Here is a link to find them. You may find cheaper elsewhere if you search around. I got it for about $125 from explosive power sports but they don’t appear to carry them now.

I was able to pop them off with a screwdriver and reinstall with marine caulk with no problem.  Thanks for help!
