CRX-1065 Cockpit Refrigerator

I received my new cockpit refrigerator today (old one stopped working on me a couple weeks ago). It’s a new design from the old CR-1065. Different controls and you can remove the freezer shelf for bigger fridge space if needed.

    So, I may be doing the same thing if mine has more issues.  It seemed like mine might now be working on AC (still works on DC).  I left it on AC when I left on Sunday, so we'll see. Nice looking fridge!

    I changed the swing of the door for better access from the cockpit. I did this on the old one also, makes it so much nicer.

    I have the same one only in black and I can tell you that it work super great better that the old designed. even the admiral wants to replace the old one too.

    @YYZRC , I bought it on Amazon through Boat And RV Accessories . I’ve been watching it on their website for a few weeks now, they had 12 then it went down to 8 and just the other day they had one left. On the website it was $874.60, on Amazon it was $799.00 🤷🏻‍♂️.

    I installed the new fridge today. I was surprised that the top left and right screw holes on the sides didn’t line up with the holes on the hull side. I ended up using the old surround, luckily it’s only a couple years old and still looks new. I could’ve drilled new holes but didn’t have a drill with me and wanted it done. Strange that they would change the hole locations!

    I have my new one on the coldest but it dips below freezing occasionally and the items on the bottom shelf freeze. One up from coldest is too warm. Old thermostat was better.

    I keep my galley fridge on 4 out of 7, keep my cockpit drawer fridge at around 70% towards the coldest.

    Not yet but I have been careful to only put Gatorade and water on the bottom shelf.

    So, I just bought the CRX 1065 from Boat And RV Accessories as well.  It was listed on Amazon for $952, but on the website for $943.  I also had a promo code for 5% off.  So, with tax it was ~$950.  I'll be curious if it is silver or stainless.  The pictures it shows are stainless, but in the description is states silver.  If it is silver, I may try to use the white insert from the old one, as I'd really like it be white anyhow.
