A real **** situation

This seems personal. With the amount of **** we discovered on our swim platform, it’d have to be. Anyone have tips for keeping them off the platform and how to remove the staining?  Tried a good hard scrubbing with boat soap and some super clean. Have some actual stained spots that won’t come out.

    You can set the planks that have wires sticking up that you see on thing like like pole or roofs. 

    Hull Cleaner is the best I can think of and then get some good wax on there to prevent future stains.

    The stains should fade away with the sun. Use a non-skid surface specific wax, I made that mistake once on my 242….. A couple people slipped on my swim platform and my cousin slipped up on my bow when coming over from his bow. I used a normal wax that made the non-skid very slippery.

    Try white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice mixed into a paste. Apply, leave on overnight and then rinse off. That mix is a whizz for stains on anything. Good luck.

    Try Non-skid cleaner. That stuff is amazing. Or even Awesome from the dollar store.

    Cheap dollar general, family dollar or Walmart bathroom cleaner with bleach if you're not in the water. 


    Also does wonders for monkey fur headliner upholstery mold stains.

    Well I was shocked to find that the sun seems to have bleached the stains away already. There are a few small concentrated spots left but I’m thinking they will fade as welll.

    Take a look at this old thread. You can polish non-skid. At least get some good polish/wax in place to make it easier to deal with. 
    My vote for Starbrite Deck Cleaner for quick clean up, use it almost every time we go out on the boat.

    My trick for non skid cleaning is this carpet cleaning brush on my buffer with meguires Heavy Oxidation Remover. It doesn’t contain wax and washes off easily so it doesn’t get stuck in the non-skid.  The only tricky part is that on a large area you don’t want the brush to get wet because the cleaner foams up and flings, but you also can’t let the meguires dry on the boat, so you have to work carefully in sections.

    Yep, harbor freight..same thing and works great but as you state can get a little messy...
