Looking for the rubber button assembly that keeps the small door in open position at rear of my 270. The rubber is wearing out that holds the button. Thanks
In this case looks like it's due to the position and design of the hinges. They set the door a bit away from the wall. The rubber bumper makes the door exactly parallel to the wall. If it wasn't there you won't get a flush connection with the snap.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. They never should have strayed from the stepped hinge design like on our 2000 model 270. You just lifted and swung to either open or closed position and it dropped down and locked. No barrel bolt to break or catch to wear out. Costly I guess.
