broken fitting?

Winterizing my boat tonight and hit this fitting with my foot. That is the fresh water pump. Does it look like the fitting broke or did it just come apart? Tried putting it back together but it popped right back out but I couldn't reach it real good so might not have had it all the way in.
If it's broke any ideas on how to get it apart to replace it? Where to get that fitting? Special tools needed? And whats it called/ Pex?
BTW-its a Crownline

Gonna try to get that broken part off in the morning. Won't fix it till spring but at least I can order the right part and have it here when we get it out of storage
