Vesselview Mobile

Last year I installed Vesselview mobile on my 2008 Rinker 330. The past couple of days i have been getting an alarm and the fault message shown below on vesselview. I am trying to understand why I am getting this alarm only at low speeds (especially docking). Out on the lake I'm fine. The port engine also goes into guardian.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The display says”2011-23. A particular state or condition exists. Engine:port. Engine guardian is active. Power will be limited to prevent engine damage. “. Doesn’t really mean much but I was wondering if the numbers meant anything. I thought it may be fuel so I changed all fuel filters. Any ideas?

When was the last time you replaced your impellers?

Does VVM display the coolant temp and pressure?

Going into guardian mode is serious on these older engines without emissions controls - there is definitely something wrong.

Changing fuel filters didn’t make any difference.

Wouldn’t temp and pressure issues more likely be a problem at higher rpm rather than docking?

Tough to draw any valid conclusions given the lack of info @Bmaggiac has provided. That’s why I’m asking for additional data.

Does anyone know if low water pressure triggers guardian mode?  Those things always go bad and VVM only displays it if you select it

Low water pressure did not trigger guardian mode for me.

running temperatures are normal. Also impellers just recently replaced even though they looked good with no damage. just preventative maintenance.

@aero3113 weren’t you having a similar issue at one point?

I bit the bullet and replaced the sensor and everything seems to be normal now. Need to do more test runs but so far so good! (fingers crossed)

    thanks everyone!
