Water distribution housing leaking?

I just notice my port  Engine water distribution housing is leaking by the plug tread, But I am wonder if it's one made in other material that this cheap plastic. The most expensive plastic in my engine $220. Thx

    Unfortunately you are stuck with the bake a lite housing. Had to replace mine last season.

    Agree you are stuck. I had to replace one of those buggers last year also. I was too agressive with tightening the plug. Just be warry when ordering. There are a couple of variants of that one. Some have airlines going to them to help drain the water.

    Some people have eliminated them.

    Mine was cracked in the same place.  Had to replace 1st year with boat.  Couldn’t believe the cost of the “plastic” part.

    Yea they are made of nylon and crack over time and they are stupid expensive for what they are. Recommend doing both. On my 342 I had one crack at the plug hole and I replaced it. Week later the other one cracked. Just time to replace them…

    Mine cracked. Glad I checked before heading out this morning. 



    Will replace both with aftermarket at $40/each.

    I think people crank the plugs and pop them.
