I have been searching for a thread for the search light but cannot find it what I,m looking for. My light stopped working, wont light or move. I  checked power at the switch and that checked good. I was wondering if the wiring goes through the anchor rode storage compartment. I find it strange that the light and motor stopped working at the same time. I'm thinking broken wire but not sure where to check. 2002 342 FV Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Breaker and fuses are good. I have power to the switch. Hopefully tomorrow I can open the light and check to see if power is making it up there.

    I am pretty sure it doesn't go through the anchor rhode locker. I think it goes through the railing and then behind the cabinets.

    On a 270 right thru the locker- pulling that velcro mirror off is a bugger...

    silly question, but did you try changing the battery at the remote control unit? Same thing happened to me and I couldn’t figure it out. Someone told me there might be a small battery and lo and behold he was right. I changed out the battery and everything worked.

    @johnny44 are you talking about the control switch? I didn't see a battery but I will double check tomorrow.

    I agree with Johnny, most models have a battery in the control switch.

    On my 270 the light was mounted on the bow rail. Changed it out but there was no battery to the switch. My new remote does have a battery. I don't have a mirror and have yet to figure out how to get to the anchor locker.

    Is it the old school Jabsco controller like this?  There are two fuses in the rectangular covers.

    I have the old school Jabsco like @LaRea posted. I opened my dash and found a broken wire. Repaired the wire and all is good now. Thanks for all the input.

    Thanks @YYZRC , I got it from a really nice Rinker owner who didn’t want it anymore!
