Fuel Sniffer

I am going to install a Gas Fume detector and alarm on my 270. It seems it should be wired so it is live whenever the Boat is on. Anyone have a suggestion as to where I should pull power from. I am thinking right off the ignition switch but there may be better.

And as low as you can get without worry if water reaching it in the bilge.
I agree that CO alarms should be powered at all times.
If there's a gas leak on board she's one poorly flicked cigarette away from a bad weekend at the marina
