Sync gauge signal

FV310 2003. Anyone seen this and/or have ideas? Until a week or so ago no problems but then slow cruising the sync gauge suddenly heaves to full starboard and no adjustment, turn off and on again corrects it. Back at dock after awhile, the same but later all good. Yesterday, all fine and then starting up after an anchoring session, same again. Where is this fed from and anyone have any ideas?

Regards,

Ian

Only a very generic one similar to rest of the boat manual. (Shows typical layout that isn't close to mine except for the 2 engines). The schematic doesn't even show a sync gauge.

Thank you. If you anything else that may be relevant to a 2003 FV310 I would be most grateful! The lack of real info on these vessels was a surprise to me, I got a lot more and specific on the Bayliner I had.

Thank you sir. Weekend or weeknight exercise. The dash had been out at some point when I got the vessel, all seemed okay but maybe I missed something.

I do have the full schematic including the sync gauges(faria) mine was doing the same send it back for repair to faria $$$$$  and still does go starboard or port occasionally .These faria gauges are not good quality.

Hi Frenchship, thanks for the feedback. I am going to check connections etc but sounds like the real issue could be the gauges anyway. I too have developed the <tap> <tap> corrective method on the tachos.

If I could trouble you for the schematic, this would be very helpful thank you. I have sent you a  separate message.

The synch should be pulling the signal either direct from each engine or from each tach. I'd check/clean the connections as a start.

FYI, pulled the dash and all wiring goes into loom and harnesses so any cross connection for the signals from the tach signals is back in the engine bay. Nothing out of the order here, popped and reset connectors anyway. Behaved itself Friday and yesterday.....
