Help adding marine pun to boat name

I named my first boat "Six Twelve" after my fathers police car number(612).  He was a retired Suffolk county police officer and drove the squad car 612 for most of his career. We lost dad to lung cancer almost 8 years ago and since he passed the number 612 has been popping up all over the place... Almost as if he's sending a message that he's still here with us. Well he always wanted a boat, so when my wife and I bought our first boat 3 years ago we named it "Six Twelve" after him(yeah, it made mom cry). We have since sold our first boat over the winter and just upgraded. We want to keep the name/number "Six Twelve" incorporated in the name of the new boat, but want to make it more fitting as a boat name.... More nautical or a marine pun. The only name that we have come up with so far is "Six Twelve Too".... Any ideas on how to turn it into a more marine oriented boat name... Or am I just giving too much of a sh** about what other people think?

    Great story!  When your dad was on duty, how would dispatch hail him on the radio?  Did they say "Car 612"?  Maybe "Boat 612" ...

    This forum has a good track record helping with boat names, so you've come to the right place.

    We have yet to name our boat....still trying to come up with something, the one I like best so far is Sheworthy......

    How about "From 6 to 12" which will have a double meaning. Means your boat is open for fun from 6am (or pm if you're a late riser) to 12 midnight. And has your dad's numbers in it.

    OK, I have something way better on 612. 6°S, 12°E just happens to be the mouth of the Congo River in Africa. So you can call the boat "Congo River Express" or something like that.

    Great Story.  I was thinking "Over an Out, 612", but that wouldn't work too well on the VHF.  I do like JC's idea as well. (maybe for location under name, put Heaven)

    Lost submariners are often said to be "still on patrol"... Tying nautical with the awesome notion north of this post, "cop out 612" and below "still on patrol".

    I know in the fire department here in FL, when they do the service they do a radio thing where they call out the number like 3 times and then state "612 Out" for example and that's the end of the service....might be kind of a sad reminder, or a good one!

    Not exactly...and perhaps they did the same for your dad, but they announce at the end of the service through the county wide radio system a call out to, for example, 651 3x, then, at the end, 651 out of service...it's really something to witness. They would use the badge number but the 651 would be pretty cool as "651 out of Service".

    Could use ten code... 1010 is off duty... 1024 is assignment complete. ... "Six twelve is 1024", or, "fair winds 612"..

    Well we decided to keep our original idea of "Six Twelve Too"... The wife likes it, the kids like it and mom likes it too. I'm actually in florida right now visiting mom and showed her the name/font type that we are using. I showed her the order form where the size of the font that I picked was listed (6 1/2" tall letters).... She said look 612 (6 1/2") again, I guess dad likes it. Lol.
