  • Would an improper temp reading cause the heat or AC not to come on because its thinking its a different temperature?

I checked again lat night and the display said 106.  I have a bad feeling I need to replace the control board.  Ugh.

and you have tried to re set the ambient temperature?

Yes, you can only move it 10 degrees up or down.

You might also have a bad thermocouple, which should be a lot cheaper to replace.

I have been trying to lay hands on a Passport II display to test with.  But I haven't had any luck.

Can you unplug that thermocouple and try it on someone else's AC?

stoge- that's going through the program at P5 correct?
  • StodgeStodge ✭✭✭✭
RAS: I'd have to pull the manual but that sounds right.

Mark: If I can't find a Passport II display to test with I may go that route.

stoge- only reason I ask is there are like 15 different control functions, I am going by memory also but trying to make sure your not re programing a fan speed instead of the temperature.....sometimes I know I always go to the worst possibility and find it was something pretty simple most of the time...

@rinker312......I know this post is old but I'm having the same problem you had. When calling for AC, the light on the panel comes on, water pumps kicks on, water flows out and I get cold air. When calling for heat, light for heat on the panel comes on, fan starts but water pump does not. What did you do to reset yours? I could not find any info on reset in my manual.
