  The vents look nice. I would be concerned about the dryer vent not being rated for an engine room. If something were to happen, your insurance company might not like seeing dryer venting on the boat. Just my 2 cents worth...

  Thanks cg for the input. After I installed the one side I wondered if it might not be something that was uscg approved, and the insurance aspect is something I never considered.  I'll get the marine vent tube tomorrow and switch.   The reality is the dryer tube seemed to be a thicker, better quality product.  
  .... I can't wait to get back into that spacious engine compartment:0/

  Upon further research, I found this description in some of the vent hose for sale:
  

  ·         MEETS UL AND MVSS FLAMMABILIITY RESISTANCE STANDARDS AND BURN TEST CRITERIAS

  So.... I'll be switching out the vent hose for sure.
