Trim tabs

I asked this once before, and no one had any ideas, I'll try again and this time I have pics. 
My boat has two sets of trim tabs .....one inboard and one outboard.  The outboard ones work like any trim tabs on any boat...However the inboard set is stationary, and neither moves up or down.  Anyone have any ideas about the stationary pair ??

    I'd bet a bundle that it was a smart move by a previous owner to modify the hull to in effect lengthen it for better planing,  handling and fuel economy. For years Rinker lengthened the aft hull sides of its runabouts with a feature called after planes which made a 19 foot hull behave like a 21 foot hull.  That would be my assessment in your case.

    It should help improve the minimum planing speed (the slowest speed you can go without falling off plane).  That's a big deal in rough seas.

    No kidding it's like your hull is several feet longer,  a great Idea!

    I'm looking in to adding Lenco auto glide on the 310, anyone have any views on this? Seems pretty neat and not hard to install.
