  I read a fella did that, Al, but on a penta... hearing it can be done to an alpha- yessir.. now I'm off to get a flapper!!!!

  I believe I had the open boot bellows on a Bravo l a while back. If I remember correctly it was a solid boot that was fixed to the transom plate and as the drive was trimmed up it pulled away from the solid boot. It worked great and yes it provided a nice exhaust note.

  .....and if I remember correctly it was quite a bit more robust too - real thick - no longer muskrat food, LOL
