Kenwood Stereo Remote Replacement

I finally replaced the first of my 2 old KCA-RC900MR remotes with an KCA-RC35MR.  I actually started this project at the end of last season and discovered that the new remote was faulty.  Glad that I was able to return it.  As you can see the new remote fits where the old one was without modification to the dash panel.  You can see where the face of the old remote cracked.  I believe that moisture became the problem shortly after the face cracked.

Great improvement.  Did you have to run new wiring?

I have not replaced the switch actuators.  The boat only had 225 hours on it when I bought it in 2014 so I expect the buttons didn't get much use and sun.

No new wiring needed.  I connected to the existing remote wiring.  The new remote buttons even light up with the other instruments.  That was a bonus feature that I did not expect.
