Steaming hot water coming out of cold faucet. 310FV

 I turned on my cold water faucet today and steaming hot water came out. Same for all of the faucets. Any ideas? Could this be a freshwater pump issue? I do notice that it kicks on quite a bit.

    Thanks Al.  Do you mean between the freshwater tank and the water pump inlet?

    A check valve on the cold water line into the hot water tank. I usually just let it run and it clears out.

    I have had the same problem as well... If I turn on the cold water faucet, I get a few seconds of very hot water... Then begins to run cold. I will be installing a one-way valve soon! Thank you
