How To Replace IAC

I have heard of carrying an extra IAC, I am going to do the same but where is it located?  I am guessing it's a socket to pull it and replace and then plug it in.  I have a '15 383 Stroker EFI.  Thanks for all of your help!

Pretty easy to replace.....it's mounted on the side of your throttle body.

Here's what one looks like....I think the ones on the GM motors are very similar.

It's very easy to replace. Remove your plastic engine cover then your flame arrester. It will be right behind your throttle body. Remove the two allen head screws, unplug it then remove and replace. Honestly shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

Also, the original one will be painted black. The replacement may be silver or black. I've seen both.

When I changed the iAc on my 2001 305's the bolts were torque heads (star shaped). There was a start/stop process in the instructions to help the engine learn the iAc. Instructions cAme with it

How often do these need to be replaced?

When your motor(s) stop running at idle.
