    Bow thruster is great but it is not a silver bullet. It's useless if you don't know how to use it. I have one and I love it but I drove for years without it. When I first got the boat every time I went for it I screwed myself. Keep in mind that where the bow goes the stern goes in the opposite. If you think you are going to just move in sideways on the dock you are mistaken. You still have to have a good idea of whats going on with your controls and use it as an aide when necessary. My advice as always is hire a captain to come train you. You will not be sorry.

    I had the Sidepower SE60 installed this summer in my 280EC. Joystick at the helm and the remote was also installed. It' s powered off my house batteries.
