Engine beeping - Volvo penta 8.1

I have had the check engine light come on and loud beeping. It's not all the time but the last three times I've gone out its happened. Is it a sensor of some sort?  2012 Rinker Captiva 276 BR Volvo Penta 8.1

    Yes, could be low oil, low out-drive oil, weak battrie, or many other things,check your manual.

    In the past, people here have looked for a summary of alarm codes for VP engines, similar to what we've posted for Merc.  If anybody finds one, please post it.
