Anyone added a temp gauge to a Kohler 5e genset?

Looking to add a coolant temperature gauge to the 5e genset, as it has nothing on it now for a read out.  Anyone done this?

    I'd imagine drilling and taping the t-stat housing would be the way to so it

    I'll have to look at the hose dia and see what might fit, pretty cozy fit in the sound shield.

    Went thru the manual tonight. Turns out there is an option for oil pressure and coolant temp. I'll call Kohler on Friday.

    The kit number is PA-344040, I'll post up price and more info as I get it.
