Tell me what this switch operates-270 FV

welliswellis Member Posts: 57 ✭✭
Bought this "05" 270FV at the end of last year, doing some light repairs, upgrades and personal touches.

I'm ordering new switch covers as I can't read any of the stock ones.

My question here is this switch on starboard side aft wall is missing and I have no idea what it operates. Does anyone here have the answer? I already know it's not Low Beer Alarm or Wife Ejection.....:)

Macerator for waste tank?  I don't have that switch on my 270.

Is that a guess or a definite?

Is there a key switch there as well?  Macerators do typically have a key switch, so that is possible.  Your best bet is to get in the engine room and follow the wires.  I have never seen a switch in that spot, so my guess is that it was added.  So more likely something like macerator or something for a grey water system?

No key switch, just the push reset. It looks stock and I dont have a grey water system.... yet. Not sure if there is a macerator. Just as soon as I can get it out of storage I will follow the wires....just thought someone might have same??

If I was going to add a washdown pump, that's where I'd put the switch.

It's the macerator switch. I have that on my 250. Push to activate, release for off. Momentary switch. Mine has an "M" symbol on it.
