Boot Stripe selection

Looking at getting a 320EC painted and striped. Boat will be Black on White. Considering a Red boot stripe. How wide is the standard boot stripe for a boat this size and what would the best shade of Red, there are sooo many to choose from.

    On my 280EC, the factory installed boot stripe is 1 1/4" wide. I am going to replace it with a 2" wide red stripe.

    I got rid of my boot stripe. I think it looks better.

    My hull is not painted, single colour but with a stripe so I didn't feel comfortable commenting, but if all you're looking for is opinions, based on the two options shown, I'd vote NO stripe.
    But you know, opinions are like A-holes. Everyone's got one, and everyone's convinced that their's is the one that doesn't stink......

    OK did not want to give my opinion but here goes. I agree with randy56 no stripe. Boat looks great in the top picture. The red stripe looks like an add on and out of place............ Just say'n........
