    The insert for the frig/ice maker can be made of anything you want. 1/4" thick if I remember right. If you want SS just Google brushed SS sheets. You can order to size. Go thin on SS and use a backer to fill the gap. 1/4" SS is heavy stuff.

    I got mine from the same place. On a side note, the cockpit fridge face gets hot to touch in the summer.

    Greg is right, my ice maker and cockpit fridge get really hot in the evenings when the sun is facing them. During the week I cover that area with a bed sheet so they don't have direct sun. Does stainless alleviate that problem?

    It's the stainless that gets hot. The inside of the fridge it fine.

    I am thinking of pulling out the ice maker and installing a storage cabinet thats why I didnt put a stainless panel on it.

    Not having an ice maker would hurt when it comes to resale

    I clean my tank and always flush it out. Plus I made sure it fill the Ice maker with shore water.  Never a problem.......

    ++ as well, I always use my water tank, never hook up hose to city water.  Water tank is always clean and use my ice maker all the time.

    Does anyone recall what size they ordered for a 03 342.  Fridge and ice maker.  I would like to order for mine but boat is still undercover for a few weeks until we can get caught up on other projects.

    Aluminum will change to a dull grey finish over time and dents and scratches easy. Stainless wouldn't.
