Upgrading to Digital Throttle

So I have been thinking about this for a while and doing some research and google is not helping out a lot.  I would love to upgrade my  342 EC to digital.  It isn't for the feint at heart and seems to also involve a full gauge set replacement.  So far I haven't found anyone that detailed the process or parts needed or put it into a kit.  Seems most folks are very glad to electronic throttle and engine controls and would never want to go back.  So my question to the group is if anyone here has done this.  Upgraded from the old throttle cable to a full digital system?

    Ugh.  ok thanks @Alswagg.  That was the help I was looking for.  So if I understand you correctly the only way I am going to get digital is with a full repower?  I wonder why they wont allow it?
