Rinker Custom Steps Facebook page...

diggin2day1diggin2day1 Member Posts: 1,331 ✭✭✭✭

I finally finished putting together a Facebook page for the Rinker steps... There's a bunch of pictures of different model boats with before/after pics and I can be messaged or emailed directly from the page. I'll be posting steps that are immediately available and I'll be taking orders as well. Big things will be happening inside my shop within the next few weeks and it all stemmed from this forum.  I really can't thank all of you enough... If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't be making steps/sink covers and also wouldn't have resurrected my love for woodworking.

The link for the Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/RinkerCustomSteps/

The Facebook page can also be accessed by the link on my profile page on this forum or by searching Facebook for Rinker Custom Steps.

   Thank you,

    Keith

See what you can come up with for steps in a 2001 242. I know it's a boxed step but anything is possible

Message me some pictures of your steps and I'll see what I can come up with... I'll even meet up with you at your boat(this week if you want) and check it out.

I'll try to get some pics to you as soon as I can. I thought I had some in my albums but no luck. This week is a little tough for me but will let you know if my schedule clears.

Any alternative besides the Facebook page? I keep away from FB but it insisted I login to look at more info.

@vyborny1 thank you! The only difference in mine is that I have a round access panel to get to the bilge pump and shower sump instead of the AC vent you have.

@aero3113 - If your steps are the same as that, we could remove that top carpeted top step tread and make a nice thick cherry tread... leave the carpet on the vertical walls and a solid cherry step tread would look sweet.

Im sure there are screws buried in that carpet holding the step down... After removal we could mount some "L-brackets" inside and screw down the step from inside your access panel... so there won't be any visible screw heads.

I would think a piano hinge would work great and make access easy....... just say'n.

That's a pretty solid idea right there Ray!

@vyborny1 now that I looked at the pic some more I think there is one more step lower that isn't showing and that is where my access panel is mounted. @diggin2day1 that would look nice. I'm going to do a internet search to see if I can find any other pics. If not I will try to get to the boat later this week.

I've seen some that do that and then have a trash can underneath.

@diggin2day1 , I'm going to have to push this off till maybe September or next season if I move forward with it. My wife is 9 months pregnant and have too much going on with getting everything else ready for the baby!

I believe I got the first set of steps from @diggin2day1.  Installed them beginning of the season and still look like new.   Really well made.  Now I need a cherry cockpit table to match.  Diggin?
