    Pretty good article ... do you have links to Part 1 and Part 2?  I couldn't find them.

    My last two surveys were combined survey + mechanical, but I agree with him that a boat with diesels probably needs a separate mechanical survey.

    About the only thing you can do on a diesel is an oil analysis and run it and check temps on the turbo, etc

    Hmmm. Now that I go back to the main site I don't see the links either. Maybe it's because I have a subscription.  I'll get on the laptop at home tonight and see what I can dig up.
