Diggin' Does more than boat stuff

Hey all, I just wanted to send out a great big thank you to @diggin2day1 !!  A few weeks ago I sent him an email to see if he could help my son's scout troop out.  In short, he not only helped out, but went all out and made an absolutely amazing plaque!

This was a very special gift given to the local church that has supported the troop for 75 years!


People are still commenting on the quality and detail of the plaque.  It was presented to the church this past Sunday.  Needless to say, the church was very happy with it and now have it hanging in the church entrance.

    @diggin2day1 is not only a class act but an amazingly creative man.....and we will all be able to say "we knew him when"......after he becomes a millionaire as that type of talent and behavior should be rewarded - IMO.

    @Dream_Inn - Aww shucks! Thank you John, really appreciate the kind words. So glad that the church and the Scouts like it. It’s fun to break out and do other things every now and than... keeps the “creative juices” flowing!!

    Yep, me too....made it to Life, couple of badges away from Eagle...My dad was a troop leader for 9 years.

    That's where my son is right now.  Still 14 years old, so hopefully he pushes and gets to Eagle.

    Maybe if more kids were in scouting, we would not have days like yesterday...so many just lost kids out there..

    Or I'm some countries, mandatory term in the military...like Israel and Sweden I believe...our parents aren't teaching our kids to be a much...

    Yes, I agree Ras that parents aren't teaching them much.  It's so tough now days with their heads always buried in their cell phones.  I regulate the heck out of my kids cell phones (heck, they only have tracfones that data only works off of wifi...and for anyone that doesn't have kids, that's harsh on a freshman and senior in high school - especially when you see so many elementary school kids with Iphones!)
