Everyone that has the VVM they have added several new stuff which is all cool to us guys that like that stuff. You can now add pages and customize your personal data. There is a sea temp data that shows 32 degrees. Does anyone know where it is getting the sea temp from?

If you don't have a water temp sensor, it will just show 32F.  I added a separate transom-mounted sensor for [edit: depth] speed-over-water and temperature.

    What sensor did you use?

    It's an Airmar P39.

But if the VVM is your only network component, I'm not sure how you would hook up the sensor.  I have a Seatalk network, and the sensor is connected to that.  (Seatalk is Raymarine's version of NMEA-2000.)

Your VVM talks to the engine computer, so you'd have to connect the sensor to the engine computer.
