Well as much as it pains me we have our 342 listed. Hard to do because we love the boat, just finishing an awesome week on her where we hit Kelllys, Middle Bass & South Bass (Put in Bay) islands along with Leamington Ontario. Her layout inside and outside is just perfect. However we've decided to get in to doing some very long range cruising (1000 mile trips) and are going to shift in to that gear. The 342 is a great cruising boat but for 1000 mile trips we'd like to find inboard diesel.

@Liberty44140 We are in the same boat (pun intended).  I'd love to get my hands on a Beneteau Swift Trawler 30.  But don't rule out outboards for long distance travel.  There are some trawlers coming with them already.   The Jeanneau NC895 is a nice option too.  Both get decent MPG at decent speeds (20-25 MPH).

oh man, somebody that thinks just like me!!   Right now, the 55 is our next boat.  We have one of only 2 dealers in the country a stone throw away & I see well over a dozen different Flemings at any time there.  What a beautiful boat!!

They are a really well made boat.  If you are going to spend a ton of time on them (like live on it), you've gotta do it right!

Very nice family from our marina saw my ad on the marina board and have bought the boat. Deal is done and closed. I suspect that we will see Mike here on the forum sometime soon, new to boating and lots of interest in DIY maintenance. We are now shopping for the next boat!

Thanks gang! Pretty slim pickings out there on the used boat market but I’ll be sure to post boat porn as we get there. Looking at a hand full options in the 38-40’ arena. A 410 is definitely possible.

Aero, we are not targeting one brand, more looking for boats that fit our wish list. So far looking like Sea Ray, Tiara and then the Rinker 410 have the best chance of checking most of our boxes. 

Chris I’m sure that come Feb your boat will move, we had a ton of action, I am sure that Pop yachts would have sold our boat by feb had this deal not worked out, you’ll be boatless before the Easter bunny comes!

Ahh yea I certainly wish we could do a brand new Tiara! Not that kind of program. Tiara would be 2000-2005 38-40’. Ray would be 2004-2008 38-40, and then there is a 2004 Rinker 410 locally that is on the table. Admiral just loves all the options!

The Tiara will hold its value better than the other 2. The Sea Ray will be just like every other Sea Ray out there and the dealer here is not the best. Check out what South Shore marine has. Tom Mac is a good guy. If you hold off they have a killer Christmas party in their show room with at least 40 boats inside with free food! Its probably as goo as the Cleveland Boat show without paying $20 to park!

Ras the 410 is very nice. It is a big boat though, I am concerned about how much boat the 410 is for gas engines. But similar to our 310 and 342, the admiral loves all the options. Oven, front and rear cabin, couch & lazy boy chair, full size fridge, washer/dryer. 
Earl thanks, I am in contact with SS and the other larger local dealers. Not too worried about dealer support on an 08 and older boat. Agree with your comments on older Ray's but that is not the case on the newer 2004+ Ray's over 37'. They seem to hold value well, are hard to find, and came in diesel. 
We will see, seems like I am going to need to be patient to see what hits the market...
