    Whats your topend price?
You willing to have it shipped? Or only local?

price depends on what I find. A FW 2001 Tiara 4000 express will sell for around $160k, a SW 2007 Sea Ray 40 sells for around $170k, closer to $200k for FW. Sea Ray 390 will be more in the $150k -$160k arena, gas Rinker 41 more like $115k. I’m more concerned with finding the right boat for us and when I do I’ll pay what I feel is fair.

yes I am fine buying shipping it, if it’s salt I’ll want to make sure it was well kept. For salt I’ll only buy from a “boater”, not someone who happens to own a boat. Looked at a gas SR 390 in Clearwater two weeks ago, great price but it Was not owned by a boater, we had to walk away, too poorly kept. There is a SW 390 in ft Myers that I’ve been trying to get more pics of.....

My brother has a 2000 Tiara 41 with diesels in it here on Catawba. Its a big boat. Docking at that length in our becomes an issue especially on a holiday weekend. Takes any water condition though.

Yep exactly the plus and minus of that boat. Never have to worry about weather, but man is it a lot of boat. It is a great layout though! Was your brothers boat for sale last fall? There was one in Catawba called After Hours or All Ours or something like that for sale but the guy took it off the market.

That 410 is a really nice boat...what a layout. Hundred Grand for a boat way out of league however. But, if I come into some money I don't care how old I am, I will be sitting in one. Good luck with your hunt!

Lib, His was not for sale last fall. One of the guys that I winter store with had his 39 Tiara Sovran for sale last year for $169K. He docks in East harbor some where maybe you saw it at some point. I will see if he is in the same building this year and pass along his info. he wasn't in any hurry to sell though cause once it was gone his wife was making him move to Florida.

Earl any chance that was a Tiara 36 Soveran? We looked at a 36 (probably 39 LOA) last fall from East Harbor, had gas cruisaders and yea price was late $160's. They had it in the CP boat show. Nice boat but just a little small for the money.

Could have been. It had gas motors so it probably was the same boat. I will keep my eye out and if I see something I will let you know.

Do not get a Tiara without diesels. They are too heavy

Thanks Earl. Completely agree Handy. The early 2000s Tiara 40s has the 435 hp cat 3208. I’ve read that cat made a big mistake taking a great engine past 375 hp and the 435hp is a ticking bomb. But, no stories out there about anyone actually having a problem, lots of happy tiara owners, so still deciding on the 3208 in a tiara 40.

Yes Cat had problems with the high HP but the lower ones were bullet proof
