Loss of fridge and ice maker power

We just got our boat back from the shop and they fixed a lot of poor electrical connections from the previous owners. We never had issues with our shore power before but not when we plug in our Rinker Fiesta Vee 342 to shore power the AC connection isn't reading and we have no fridge, ice maker, head or radio power. When we fire up the generator everything works. What gives?

Just double-checking the basics ... the switches marked (3) in the following link should be pushed left for generator, right for shore power.  Is that what you're doing?

When everything is switches to shore power we have no power to the listed appliances.

On our cruise home from the service shop our radio worked and the fridge did temporarily. By the time we tied off at our dock and plugged in neither worked. Loose wire?

Head and radio are DC. Frig and Ice maker 120VAC. 

Frig and ice maker plug into an outlet under the trash can in the cockpit.  Check they are1: plugged in, and 2: they are switched on!  Ice maker switch is center top of the grill under the door (rocker). Frig the thermostat needs to be ‘on’. 

The 12v side should be totally independent of the generator running or not.

Even when we plug into shore power we are only showing power to AC2. No light for AC1 and anything on that circuit won't work. What would it and the DC power connect to because the head and radio don't work either.

Things are now not working with the generator on either

I’ll ask the dumb question: are both AC inputs connected to shore power?

the breaker for the stereo amplifier is by the battery switches by the transom door. Worth checking. 

Does the head not flush and / or not fill with water?

Seems like a lot of random things not working suddenly.  Pulling the breaker panel might be in order to check connections and breaker operation.

That's the AC1 shore power connection

It appears that the shop didn't fix that connection. Glad you found it before something bad happened.

Youch! Wow. Happy you spotted it. Could be much worse.

This is more common then most people think. Did the plug on my 270 and one on my 342. Think I'll put on my regular maintenance schedule. Pull the three screws out slide it out a bit make sure it's tight and clean put the three screws back in.

The sister issue to the above is the shore power cord connection. 

Glad you found it. That was a fire in waiting.

Had it happen on my 242, didn’t melt but all of the plastic cracked around the prongs. When I found it the whole thing pulled out when I unlocked the cord.
