Battery Isolator

My #2 battery stopped working and I found the center post of the battery isolator is fried.  Please tell me if I messed up....  I was on the hook and on they way back I realized that I didn't exercise battery #2 so I switched it over from #1 to #2 while the engine was running.  Not sure if that's a problem but I think that's when my problems started with #2.

I’ve switched from one to two with the engine running multiple times with no issues. I think if you turn it to off with the engine running can cause issues.

I switch mine from 1 to 2 all the time while running. Just don't turn it off while running

I also switch while running but careful to cycle through the "both" setting and not "off".
