That set up should have a pop in screen that seats just above the tab. You put a piece of material above the screen. Or just get up early and do some fishing.
@cls10105 you have swing over clips on your frame (for the screen), you should make plastic squares to fit and use the clips to secure. It will look factory when your done and keep the sun out.
Sounds good, thanks guys. I will buy a screen and put something in between its a lot cheaper. I have the measurements for the screen but i had no clue how the other setup was. Thanks again
You've got me thinking. I'd like to block light but like the hatch open at night also. I'm thinking maybe replace my metal screen with privacy screen. Dark colour and smaller holes so should block some light.
@cls10105 - I had this set-up on our old Maxum. You have the pop-out/pop-in style. A screen/cover goes in that outer rim and the dog-ears rotate to hold the screen in place. Those are usually Bomar hatches. You could take the dimensions and give them a call to see if you can get a solid fabric screen made.
Bought some black felt from a fabric store and cut a piece of felt the same size as the screen, placed it on top of the screen and then reinstalled the screen. Blacks out the entire area.

Maybe find a size match and then customize the frame with a dark fabric?
@shawnmjr - Love the starboard by @diggin2day1 idea!
