    Mine was flashing red green. That was my issue with the original.

    I'm not reading 3 pages, but if you haven't spent the money on a CO MONITOR, not a detector, with a 10y lithium battery, do it now. No need to worry about power drain/replacement. When I bought mine the 2 pack was $50, and I have one by each bed.
