LoL, I wish I replaced them over the winter but with everything else I did to the boat, the total tally was getting pretty high. Was on the list for this winter!
Don't forget you need to find that 1/2 of the flapper , may come put in the winter with the drive off. Found my wedged in the side of the drive on my 270.

Yea, I looked for it but with the boat in the water I couldn’t see much.
I changed the oil twice today. First time it was very milky, second time it looked a lot better. Hoping the third will be even better and a fourth change will be the final one.
@PickleRick , when you ingested water, how many changes did it take you to clear it?
3 total changes but between change 1 and 2 I flushed the engine with several gallons with a mix of 2 cycle fuel and diesel/k1. I had the benefit of being on a trailer and it could drain right out of the hull.
It took me four... i had likely two quarts of water in mine... i let it settle and pulled the plug out... so long as ypu let it settle and drain off the water it isnt so bad and three or four changes will do it...
However....
I'm ocd about it... i changed two more times, then ran the sixth change about three or four hours and did it again.
Yea, I wasn’t expecting to find as much water as I did. There’s a West Marine close to my dock, basically threw over $100 in the garbage with oil and filters. Will pick some more up at Walmart.
The third oil change looked good. I took her for a hard run, got some fuel and pumped out the waste tank. When I got back to the dock I changed the oil one more time for good measure.
