My pump has a separate switch on the ac board from the switches for each unit so I can keep the pump off. What am I testing? Just ac colts at coil when heat kicks on? When the unit clicks? Should it be 110v or close?
The valve coils wires should go to the board as well. Also the compressor should too. If you can remove the compressor wires that would be good. If you can remove the wires to the coil you can put your meter across those two terminals. If you want you can face time me when you are there.
Thanks Handy. The building I am in gets barely enough 3g to get a text, no FaceTime or WiFi so I am thinking this will have to wait until I am back in the water and on WiFi. A FaceTime with you come spring would be glorious
Well set the meter for ohms, pull the valve coil wires off the board and put the meter leads in the connectors or wrap the wires around the meter leads. It should read 5 ohms at least. I havent ohmed one out in a while but it needs to have resistance. If the meter has no reading then its shot. You know, some people should not own a boat LOL
