This is the Science Fair kit I had (I may still have it somewhere). This one featured a "Space Age" integrated circuit!! After 50 years I've graduated to Arduino's and Raspberry Pi's.
This is the stuff that kept me off the streets as a kid. First person that figures out what I do for a living now wins a prize!
Well, probably same as me, electrical engineer?
Boy, some of those toys really jog my memory! I had that evil knievel and remember how long our kitchen floor was. I'd wind that thing up to see if I could make it go all the way across. I always thought evil knievel was great!!
speaking of raspberry pi here is my bar top arcade I made last year that has every NES,SNES and Sega game in it. This photo was before the speakers and top cover were put on.
Nerf was also really big and super soaker water guns. I think those both came out or just got really popular around my time. I was born in '82.
Yes I remember that, I was born born in 83
There is probably a wide age range between the members here resulting in a wide range of favorites. People in their 50's and 60's would probably remember the ones I listed
Cool “deadly treadly” as we referred to them back home @RiverRat232, I had one like that, not as tall in the seat and flashy yellow!
@icoultha If you were referring to the bicycle, that is a Schwinn Apple Krate. Back when Schwinns were made in the good ol USA. I often wonder how many young boys were sterilized by those gear shifters.
With the passing of Sean Connery, I was reminded I still have the Corgi brand diecast model of James Bond's Aston Martin DB5. It has an ejector seat, bullet proof screen, machine guns etc. etc. This was the hottest toy car in Britain in the mid-sixties, sold out everywhere.
Also very popular was "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." TV show spy gear toys.

Who can forget Thunderbirds? I still watch the TV series on Tubi.
