Simcoe, this past summer when I was looking there were a couple for sale in Quebec, the price's were steep. I never looked at them because I had decided that my next boat would be inboards. Your boat looks nice . congrats

Thanks Drean_Inn will look into Genny thing read your feed on that.  Just got the boat and was wondering why the raw water thing was under the seat.  Mine has a quick connect on it.  What is the Raw water for to rinse off shouldn't it be easier to access?( might be a Nubie 400 question)

Really Hanymans342 it seems the 390 and 400's are hard to find then.  I could only find 2 good ones in Canada and then a 2012 that was out of sight for pricing but has the DTS with Joystick and the beautiful tan hull but some dumb track system on the back for a dingy or seadoo which for my family I could see injuries from as we swim a lot off the back.

Goalie59  What boat do you have now?  I have no problems with I/O boats service is the biggest thing though.  We have a few Rinkers in the marina the most impressive is a 2006 342 with big blocks it flys.

Simcoe, I have a 2005 410, bought about four months ago. It has been a bit of a project , getting away from outdrives was just a personal thing. We will see how that works out.I have seen a few 342 with inboards and big blocks. Al has said before that they do not perform all that well. I can't imagine why with all that power

Because of the added weight and V drives.

My buds 342 is big block outdrives and its amazingly fast it would destroy my 342 Small block boat  55mph easy I was lucky to get to 40 mph all trimmed out.  We have a 2005 410 in the marina.  He loves his boat but was telling me his washer and dry thing stopped working and getting it out would require removing half rear cabin to get it out  and he went to a blatter water tank in the center said his plastic tank kept cracking or something which I found kinda weird.  V-drives are good but like handy said add's weight and is more a trawler thing but durable.  But you have to deal with dripless shaft fittings etc..  I know as I was a sailboater originally and my Dad did the trawler thing with a Ocean 40.  With the drives you can't get all the power out of the engines/revs.  Plus the 410 weighs a lot 24,500 lbs compared to the 400 at 19,680 lbs.

Those are Christmas Gifts!! That LT4 would be cool would just need outdrives to handle the power.  I have a LSA in my Camaro ZL1 and its a beast.  LT4 is the next level above that.  Merry Christmas!

That looks fantastic!!  those new transom assemblies look nice too!  There was some extra sealant (like 4200) put on them, correct?  I just don't see any that oozed out, which is fine.  Mine actually has a slight oozing out all the way around.  Do you keep her on lift?

I asked if he put sealant he said he did.  No, my boat is not on a lift she sits in freshwater all season than on stands all winter.  I bought the boat and it has never been painted on the bottom so now it's getting epoxy coat then antifouling fresh which is nice as if I bought the boat new..  Going to finish up the engine bay this week then hoping my couplers come in then she goes all back together.  Also while the engines are out drop the oil from the oil pan to see there is any funny stuff in the bottom of the pan and also give the engines a light wiped down so they match the engine bay.
