Advice on first dinghy - second question where do you store the motor and fuel?

I’ve seen that others store a small outboard in the transom locker, actually there’s a spot specifically made for that. I do wonder however if it’s safe

That's where I keep my outboard.  I keep the small can of fuel under the helm seat, which is an open area.

Dream that’s what I am planning. A little concerned about gas fumes though.

I run the carb dry each time before I put away.

Our 270 has a dingy option which has under the back seat a formed holder for the motor to lay down and swim platform notched as well...

okay so I bought a West Marine RU 250 dinghy yesterday on sale.  I’ll put my Suzuki 2.5 on it.  Still looking for the right system for transporting it on the swim platform.

I like the sling as it's relatively inexpensive and you don't have to deal with glueing the davits on the dinghy.

I would like to see it in the flesh and so will run over there when they have something in the water.

Might just use these. I already have snap davits on the swim platform
